Title: Project Engineer
Reporting to: Head of Projects
Main purpose of job:
Responsible for technical support, documentation and implementation required for onshore and
offshore projects, worksite visits and surveys, workshop coordination, offshore projects coordination.
Main tasks of job:
To provide technical support to both onshore and offshore projects.
Carry out on-site surveys and internal project related audits.
Creation of work-packs for all projects.
Ensure that all procedures and specifications are adhered to and all related documentation completed to enable job completion handover.
Ensure all materials and equipment meet company and client procedural/ specification requirements.
Attend project planning meetings and ensure client requests are implemented.
Create work instructions and maintain ITPs.
Ensure works are carried out safely in accordance with company procedures and method statements adhered to.
Ensure that project tasks are planned and executed to maximise efficiency and targets met.
Implement and maintain project time keeping and attendance records as per company guidelines. Ensure plant and equipment is within certification and maintained correctly.
Provide basic on the job training and feedback as and when necessary.
To alert the Construction Manager/Supervisor and / or QHSE / HR Manager of any potential problems or issues related to health, safety, the environment or quality within their team, area of work, or in connection with the project in general.
To recognise and abide by company procedures and statutory acts, including the Quality Management System, the Health & Safety Policy, and company emergency and evacuation procedures.
Attend any Training or Competency Assessment that the company determines necessary to improve performance
Requirements:
Energy sector experience is essential
Offshore wind experience would be desirable
Flexibility to travel
Experience with AutoCAD a plus but not essential
Proficient with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Qualifications:
HND or equivalent in Engineering as a minimum.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field would be desirable
Formal Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, CAPM, PMP would be desirable
In date offshore certificates would be desirable
