Role Overview
N-ERGISE Ltd is expanding its footprint into the Nuclear, Defence, and Space sectors, creating a dedicated division to focus on these strategically critical industries. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Nuclear, Defence, and Space to establish, lead, and grow this new department.
This role will oversee all aspects of business development, project delivery, and strategic direction within these sectors, ensuring N-ERGISE becomes a trusted partner known for delivering innovative, efficient, and compliant solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep sector knowledge and a proven track record in managing complex, high-value projects in highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership & Strategy
Establish and develop the Nuclear, Defence, and Space Division, including defining its strategic objectives and growth plan.
Create and implement a roadmap for entering and succeeding in these industries, aligning with N-ERGISE’s broader business goals.
Build and nurture a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Business Development
Identify and capitalize on opportunities in nuclear decommissioning, defence infrastructure, and space exploration projects.
Build long-term relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Lead tendering processes, developing winning proposals that showcase N-ERGISE’s technical and operational expertise.
Drive partnerships and collaborations with organisations that enhance N-ERGISE’s capabilities in these sectors.
Project Delivery
Oversee the planning and execution of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Establish processes for risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency specific to nuclear, defence, and space requirements.
Lead technical reviews and ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.
Innovation and Technology
Promote the adoption of innovative technologies to improve project outcomes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to explore new methods, materials, and technologies tailored to these sectors.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary liaison between N-ERGISE and clients, regulators, and industry bodies.
Represent N-ERGISE at industry events, conferences, and forums to build the company’s reputation in these sectors.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrated leadership experience in the nuclear, defence, or space industries.
Proven success in developing and managing high-value projects within highly regulated environments.
Deep understanding of industry-specific regulatory frameworks, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
Strong business development capabilities, with experience securing and delivering multi-million-pound contracts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
Familiarity with ISO certifications, IRATA standards, and relevant industry accreditations.
Experience with advanced technologies such as robotics, AI, or digital twins in these sectors.
