Title: HSEQ Advisor
Place of work: You will be based in the Great Yarmouth, UK office but must be flexible in regards to travel.
Main tasks of job:
Manage company Health & Safety system to OHSAS 18001:2007/45001 (Health and Safety).
Manage company Environmental management system to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
Manage company Quality management system to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality).
Manage Quality Manual, Quality Control Procedures and Inspection Test Plan QC Inspection Forms.
Conduct audits of all aspects of the HSEQ system to ensure their compliance and improvement.
Coordinate and facilitate external audits.
Assist in checks to ensure that all departments are following approved procedures according to an internal audit programme.
Monitor safety on a daily basis through past and projected indicators and keep company managers, supervisors and workforce informed.
Ensure that all statutes and regulations are being followed in the company.
Notify and advise company on project HSEQ requirements.
Develop and manage company HSE Risk Assessments.
Manage the development of the companies HSE activities and to advise, train and develop all employees in line with current Health and Safety legislation and to promote best practice.
Set and manage company HSEQ objectives.
Assess and evaluate all activities associated with periodic HSEQ audits and reports at NERGISE and advise on best practice.
Co-ordinate, arrange and deliver health and safety at work training to all Managers and employees in the use of a prepared Safety Management System.
Arrange and maintain HSE notices as appropriate throughout the premises.
Prepare and manage company LTI statistics.
Complete client HSEQ questionnaires and support client audits.
Monitor and set company carbon footprint objectives.
There is an employee rules handbook, which forms part of your main terms of employment; these rules must be adhered to at all times.
Person Specification:
Motivated to champion company’s sustainability plans and carbon footprint objectives.
An individual who is a team player but also has the ability to work on their own initiative when required.
The role would suit an individual that is focused on growing with the business.
Must be willing to learn and undertake roles and responsibilities that you may be unfamiliar with.
You must share our company values and be able to work in line with our policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
NEBOSH national general certificate in occupational safety and health or equivalent (Preferred but not essential)
NCRQ Diploma (Preferred but not essential)
IOSH Managing Safely (Essential if no NEBOSH or NCRQ)
Internal auditor trained
Proficient with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vision.
Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience:
Please do not apply for this role if you do not have previous experience working within HSE.
As a minimum you should have at least 2 years’ experience gained from working in a HSEQ Coordinator role or equivalent.
You must have a basic knowledge of both onshore and offshore HSE principles and the ability to recommend safe work practices.
A basic knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental legislation, Quality management systems, Environmental management system and the health and safety management systems.
A full clean driving licence.
Excellent communication skills.
You should be organised with a good attention to detail.
You should be flexible in regards to travel if required.
